Dr. London operates as a hands-on chiropractor. He does not use mechanical hardware to roll, knead or stretch the body, and instead relies on the proven techniques of spinal and joint manipulation. Rather than force things into position, his methods aid the body’s skeletal and neuromuscular systems in a return to their natural realignments.
Depending on the nature of the injury or spinal mis-alignment, he may incorporate electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound and hot/cold therapies. Treatments can focus on specific problem areas such as a sore neck or pinched nerve or be used to bring the entire skeletal system back into proper alignment.
Age is not a factor in successful chiropractic treatment. Dr London works with patients of all ages, from children through seniors.

When the spine and other bones of the body are in their proper place, the entire body feels and functions better. There is a growing awareness of the benefits of preventative care for the spine. Many of us sit too much, or put heavy demands on our back with sports or work. This can lead to spinal misalignments, known as subluxations. When the bones of the spine are out of place, it may create soreness as muscles work to compensate for the imbalance. Worse, it can lead to pinched nerves, which can be shown as burning, numbness and tingling. Preventative chiropractic care can help the spine maintain a proper alignment to prevent disabling pain, and help a person maintain good posture as they age.
When the spine or other parts of the skeleton system are out of position, it causes muscles to work harder to compensate. Over time, this may create stubborn patterns of resistance that hinder re-alignment. Massage can provide a complementary therapy to chiropractic manipulation, as it encourages tight or over-stressed muscles to relax and allow joints to move back into their natural position. The London Chiropractic Center has licensed massage therapists on staff, available to provide therapeutic or relaxing Swedish massage therapy to patients.
Back and neck problems can begin in the feet. When the bones of the feet are out of place, or are stressed by long periods of standing, tendons, muscles and joins in legs, hips and back are strained as they attempt to compensate. Sometimes, this strain can transfer all the way to the neck, causing pain or headaches. When the feet are properly supported, the entire body can relax.
Dr. London is able to prevent or correct foot problems through the use of custom orthotics. Unlike the off-the-shelf insoles sold at drug stores, these orthotics are shaped to conform to an individual’s unique footprint, providing complete support that takes the strain off joints, ligaments and tendons to eliminate pain, or to enhance athletic performance.
